Hoeft, Merlin Theo. (3 Oct. 1923 - 19 Nov. 1946)
Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at Abbotsford for Merlin Theo. Hoeft, age 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hoeft of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, who died at 6:00 A.M. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Milwaukee, embolism being the cause of his death. Rev. F. H. Sprengler conducted the services at 1:30 o’clock at the Hoeft home and at 2:00 o’clock at Christ Ev. Lutheran church. Internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.
The deceased was born in the town of Hull, Marathon county, on October 3, 1923. He attended Abbotsford High School and the Milwaukee Business Institute. He resided in Milwaukee the past five years and for the past four years he has been employed as a bookkeeper by the Allis Chalmers Manufacturing Company at Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Surviving are his parents, a brother, Clarence Hoeft of Wausau, and two sisters, Evelyn Hoeft of Milwaukee and Marian Hoeft of Abbotsford, Wisconsin.
