Venzke, Clarence (28 May 1915 - 18 Dec. 2007)
Clarence Venzke, 92, Marshfield, formerly of Milan, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at home.
Funeral services were held Dec. 21 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Milan. Rev. Matthew Christians presided. Burial was in Milan Public Cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Clarence was born May 28, 1915, in the Town of Johnson, rural Milan, to Albert and Ida (Weinandt) Venzke. He married Nila Solchenberger on June 10, 1944.
He logged and farmed in the Town of Johnson, retiring on the farm before moving to Milan in 1976. Clarence was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife Nila, Marshfield; two sons, Roy (Cathie) Venzke and John Venzke, both of Fort Atkinson; one daughter, Judy (James) Woehrle, Marshfield; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lillian (Chester) Buss, Abbotsford, Janet Bahr, Chippewa Falls, Irene (Phil) Wire, California and Beatrice (Roy) Engelking, Wauwatosa.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, LaVern Venzke.
Maurina/Community Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
