Van Rooy, Rose (Marriage - 31 May 1947)
Miss Rose Van Rooy of Madison, Wis., daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Van Rooy of Abbotsford, and Lloyd Amundson, son of Mrs. Amelia Amundson of Colby, were united in marriage, Saturday, May 31, 1947, at St. Mary’s parsonage, *** Note: The middle of the article was missing and not available at the time of transcription. *** ceremony. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Antone Schjonneman of Unity and the groom was attended by his brother, Harold, of Chicago.
The bride was attired in a white tailored suit and her bouquet consisted of orchids. Her attendant wore an aqua suit and her bouquet consisted of roses.
A luncheon was served at the home of Mrs. Amelia Amundson.
The couple left on a wedding trip to Michigan and will be at home in Colby after June 4, 1947, where the groom is engaged as a spray painter.
