Hamarlund, Ellen (Marriage - 13 Aug. 1947)
Miss Ellen Hamarlund, daughter of Mrs. Marie Hamarlund of Wauwatosa, was married to Walter H. Weller of Milwaukee, son of Mrs. Martha Weller of Colby at the bride’s home on August 13 at 8:00 P.M. with Rev. Roy Deming, pastor of the Wauwatosa Methodist church, officiating.
Miss Edna Hamarlund, cousin of the bride, of Milwaukee, was maid of honor and Everett Marshall of Milwaukee was best man. Miss Hamarlund wore a street length dress of sheer navy which was accented with a corsage of red roses and white carnations.
The bride chose a street length dress of pink and black chiffon. Her corsage consisted of white lilies and pink roses.
A dinner was served to the bridal party and members of the immediate families on the day following the ceremony, at the home of the groom’s brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kanter of Colby, Wisconsin. A wedding dance was held at Cherokee Park Thursday evening.
The couple will spend their honeymoon in Northern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, and, after August 20th, they will be at home at 1419 Wauwatosa Avenue, Wauwatosa.
