COLBY -- Edward M. Pawlowicz, 86, Colby, died Jan. 8, 2007, at Colonial Center, Colby, Wisconsin.
Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford, Wisconsin. Full military rites will be provided by Colby VFW Post 2227.
Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Edward was born June 8, 1920, near Diamond Lake, Lublin, to Frank and Adele (Skop) Pawlowicz. Ed served his country in the U.S. Army from Aug. 1942 to Nov. 1945 serving in Normandy, Northern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe. Ed and Florence Brill were married and later divorced. Ed was employed with the Taylor County U.S. Forest Service and retired from Weather Shield of Medford as a window assembler.
Ed is survived by one brother, Bruno (Clarice) Pawlowicz of Dorchester; one sister, Alice (Sylvester) Konieczny of Island Lake, Ill.; many nieces and nephews, and good friend and guardian, Gary Dietz of Colby, Wisconsin.
