Ciutiss, Wis. - July 24, 1947
Mrs. Chas. Jakel and sons, Robert and Dennis, and daughter, Beatrice, left on Friday for Plymouth, Ind., to visit her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hermanson.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Kraut of Minneapolis spent the week-end with their aunt, Miss Bertha Kraut.
Miss Bernice Rustad of Eau Claire was a guest of the Misses Minnie and Alma Thompson on Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Gunder and children of Daneville, Ky., and Mrs. John Wendt of Owen were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Buchanan on Wednesday of last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Willard Geary and daughters, who have been visiting the latter’s brother and sister in law, Rev. and Mrs. Dake at Shelbyville, Ill., returned home on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. John Pudlas and sons of Forreston, Ill., visited this week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pudlas, and other relatives. They returned home on Tuesday accompanied by their daughter, Donne Mae, who has been visiting here the past month.
Mr. and Mrs. Harley Hoff of Dallas, Texas, are enjoying a two weeks’ vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hoff, and with Mrs. Hoff’s parents at Wausau.
Mr. and Mrs. David Norlien and two sons of Belfast, Mass., called on friends here on Monday and Tuesday and were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Tonn. They are enroute to Albany, Calif., where they will spend the winter with a sister. Mrs. Norlien is the former May Virch.
Miss Bernice Wendt of Marshfield visited with her sister, Mrs. Floyd Buchanan, and family on Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ned Bartell and children returned to their home in Milwaukee after having spent two weeks’ vacation with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stockmeyer. They were accompanied home by Miss Esther Thompson who had spent the past ten days at her home.
Mrs. Jas. Skinner who has spent the past month with her son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Olson, left on Monday evening for Colby to visit her daughter, Mrs. Chet Leu, and family before returning to her home in Bloomington, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Kobs and children of Janesville, and Mrs. Gusta Kobs of Chicago are visiting at the Ray Kobs home this week.
Rev. and Mrs. G. E. Borreson attended a board meeting of this P.T.A. district at the Hotel Whitling, in *** Note: The remainder of this article was missing.
