Scheibe, Edwin Gottlieb (11 Dec. 1872 - 27 Apr. 1947)
Funeral services for Edwin Gottlieb Scheibe of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, age 74, who died at his home Sunday afternoon, April 27, of heart trouble and complications were held Wednesday, April 30, at 2:00 p.m. in the Presbyterian church in Abbotsford, Rev. George Griffith officiating, and internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery. Pall bearers were John Schefchick, Louis Lueddecke, George Heida, Charles Schauss, Herman Johnson and John Anderson. Mr. Scheibe was injured in an accident while at work about a year ago and was ill since the mishap.
The deceased was born in Sheboygan Falls Dec. 11, 1872, and, at the age of eight, he moved onto a farm in the town of Holton with his parents. He lived in the town of Holton until 1931 when he moved to Colby and later moved to Abbotsford where he resided until his death. He was married to Della Lieders at Abbotsford on Nov. 24, 1911, who survives him.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Wanda) Correll, three sisters and two brothers - Mrs. Joe Libera, Mrs. Ida Schramm and Mrs. Anna Thomson, all of Milwaukee, Herman Scheibe of Milwaukee and Charles Scheibe of Abbotsford, Wisconsin. There are two grand children. One brother, Henry, preceded him in death.
