Stock, Otilga Marie (22 Mar. 1869 - 8 Sept. 1947)

Mrs. August Stock died of old age complications at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hugo Frome, Monday morning at 8:15 after an illness of six months. The body will lie in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home and funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Zion Lutheran church, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and internment will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Otilga Marie Kluve was born in Necklenburg, Germany, on March 22, 1869, thus reaching the age of 78 years, five months and 16 days. She came to the United States when 15 years of age and lived in New York state a few years and then moved to Fond du Lac. A short time later, she moved to this locality. She was married to August Stock at Colby, Wis., May 8th, 1888. Mr. Stock died on July 10th, 1943.

Surviving are five children - Mrs. Hugo Frome of Colby, Otto Stock of Loyal, Edward Stock of Abbotsford, Mrs. Ella Murray of Eau Claire and Mrs. Henry Reeves of Colby, Wisconsin. One sister, Mrs. Edward Olson, of Dorchester also survives. There are seven grand children and eight great grand children.

The deceased was a faithful member of the Zion Lutheran church and the Ladies’ Aid of that church. She was of a very industrious disposition, honest in all her dealings, and was well-liked by all who knew her.

Funeral services for Mrs. August Stock, whose death was reported last week, were held at the Zion Lutheran church last Thursday afternoon, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Hugo Frome, Otto Stock, Ed Stock, Henry Reeves, Jr., Jac Katte and Milford Frome.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mrs. Freda Olson and son, Eugene, and Mrs. Helga Kluve and Archie of Curtiss, Mrs. Albert Lindau of Dorchester, Herman Stock and Miss Emma Stock of Waukesha, Mrs. A. L. Guis and Elmer Schultz and Carol of Lannon, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Herman Zukke and Mrs. Ed Evan of Athens, Mrs. Irene Bielkosz and Mrs. Harriet Won of Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Katte, Denny and Judy of Sheboygan, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Schroeder, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Nystad, Bruno Chekitis and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Gruenke of Loyal, Mrs. Board of Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Anderson of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pacholke, Miss Elaine Witt and Mrs. Gust Nehring of Eau Claire.
