Neibacker, Avis (22 Feb 1941)
A beautiful church wedding was solemnized on Saturday, Feb. 22, 1941, at the Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in Inglewood, Calif., when Avis Neibacker of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Roland Werner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Art Werner of Inglewood.
Rev. R.E. Schultz officiated.
Charming simplicity marked the decorations of the church, baskets of white stocks being used, it was a candlelight service. Frank Parker sang, The Lord’s Prayer; W.A. Uffleman played the traditional wedding march.
The lovely young bride made a beautiful picture in her gown of white brocaded taffeta with which she wore a dainty lace veil. She carried a small white Bible. Both bridesmaids wore pink chiffon dresses and carried bouquets of pink sweet peas.
Loren Grebe of Inglewood was best man and Rev. G. Weiss of Illinois was the attendant.
A reception was held at the groom’s home. Mr. and Mrs. Werner departed immediately after the reception not revealing their destination. The couple will make their home in Inglewood where Mr. Werner is employed in the North American Aviation Co.
