Voightlander, Mr./Mrs. Paul (Gold - 1 MAR 1941)
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Voightlander of the town of Hoard (Clark Co., Wis.) were surprised Monday evening, March 1, 1941, when relatives and friends gathered at their home to observe their 50th wedding anniversary.
A seven o’clock dinner was served, after which Rev. P. Franzmeier gave a talk choosing as his subject, He Leadeth Me. Several songs were sung with Mrs. Franzmeier at the organ.
Mr. and Mrs. Voightlander have resided on their present farm in the town of Hoard all their wedded life. They had five children, Henry of the town of Colby, Mrs. Louise Awe of the town of Green Grove, Elmer, Alma and Lillian at home.
Those present were their children and families, Rev. and Mrs. P.H. Franzmeier and son of Greenwood, and Miss Helen Ingersoll of Abbotsford, Wisconsin.
The couple were the recipients of a beautiful Jonquil plant and many other gifts. The day will be a lasting memory in the lives of the honored couple.
