Apfelbeck, Adeline (Marriage - 10 Feb. 1948)
Miss Adeline Apfelbeck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Apfelbeck and Norbert Dahlke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Dahlke, were united in marriage on Monday, Feb. 10, at 9:00 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. N. B. Beschta reading the marriage ceremony. Beatrice Strunk was maid of honor and Mildred and Stella Apfelbeck were bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Arnold Strunk, Ray Juedes and Alex Dahlke.
The bride was attired in a colonial gown of Duchess white satin with hoop skirt picked up by handmade flowers to reveal a triple row of lace beneath. Her veil of imported illusion was caught to a bonnet and fell in a long train bordered with lace. She wore a double strand pearl necklace, a gift of the groom. Her colonial bouquet consisted of gladiolas and carnations. The maid of honor wore a dress of blue marquisette over blue taffeta, slip trimmed with three rows of ruffles, sweetheart bonnet and a diamond set cross necklace, a gift of the bride. Her colonial bouquet consisted of gladiolas and carnations. The bridesmaids wore dresses of blue marquisette over blue taffeta trimmed with a triple row of ruffles. They wore blue bonnets trimmed with a big blue bow in back and a diamond set cross necklace. Their colonial bouquets also consisted of gladiolas and carnations.
Dinner was served at St. Mary’s auditorium and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. The home was decorated with white, blue and pink streamers and white wedding bells.
The couple will make a wedding trip to Chicago. The groom is engaged in farming and also operates a milk route.
