Hake, Marie (Marriage - 24 Apr. 1948)
Miss Marie Hake, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hake of Curtiss, and Robert Neumann of Spencer, son of Mrs. Anna Neumann, were united in marriage at the Trinity Lutheran church at Spencer Saturday, April 24th, Rev. A. C. Stapel of Spencer reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Delores Krienke of Stevens Point was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. Ray Boneske of Owen, sister in law of the bride, and Mrs. Ray Neumann of Spencer, sister in law of the groom. The groom was attended by Roland Hake, the bride’s brother, as best man, Ray Boneske of Owen, brother in law of the bride, and Ray Neumann of Spencer, the groom’s brother.
The bride was attired in a dress of white slipper satin, shirred bodice, square lace neckline, long train edged with wide lace, carnation headdress, white carnations on lace, trimmed skirt and fingertip veil. Her bouquet consisted of jonquils, yellow carnations and swansonia with streamers.
The maid of honor wore a pink dress, bodice trimmed with satin appliqué. Mrs. Boneske wore a dotted Swiss trimmed with green ribbons. Mrs. Neumann wore yellow sheer similar to Mrs. Boneske’s. Colonial bouquets of all three consisted of carnations.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated with a large wedding cake.
The groom is employed at the Dairybelt Milk Products Co. at Spencer and the bride is employed at the American Beauty Shop at Wausau.
