Wiersig, Olga R. (Marriage - 16 June 1948)
Miss Olga R. Wiersig, daughter of Ewald Wiersig, and Richard H. Behrens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Behrens, exchanged marriage vows at the Zion Lutheran parsonage on Wednesday, June 16, 1948, at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon, Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony. The couple was attended by Hilda Wiersig, sister of the bride, and Reginald Behrens, brother of the groom.
The bride was attired in a gown of yellow and rust gabardine with white accessories. Her shoulder corsage consisted of white carnations and yellow roses. The bridesmaid wore a light blue two-piece print dress in peek-a-oocle rayon with white and gold accessories. Her shoulder corsage consisted of white and pink carnations and blue cornflower.
A wedding supper for the bridal party was served at the home of the bride’s cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hass of Abbotsford, Wisconsin.
The bride had been employed the past nine months at the Mueller Brothers restaurant in Colby, Wisconsin.
The couple will be at home on the groom’s farm in the town of Hull, Wisconsin.
