Becker, Lucille (Marriage - 26 June 1948)
In a double-ring ceremony performed at St. Mary’s Catholic church last Saturday morning at 9 o’clock, Miss Lucille Becker, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Becker of Colby, and Norbert Donnermeyer of Kaukauna, were united in marriage. Rev. N. B. Beschta celebrated the nuptial mass.
Miss Mary Lou Becker, the bride’s sister, and Robert Donnermeyer, a brother of the bridegroom, attended the couple.
The bride wore a street-length two-piece dress of white nylon, accented with a corsage of white gardenias and red roses, and a white picture hat. Her maid of honor wore a dress of powder blue, styled identically to the bride’s with a corsage of Queen Anne roses, and a white picture hat.
Dinner and supper were served to immediate relatives and friends in St. Mary’s gym and a reception was held during the afternoon and evening at the home of the bride’s parents.
The bride, who taught school the past three years at Kaukauna, will continue teaching there. The bridegroom is also employed in that city. They will be at home there to friends at 605 W. Seventh Street.
