Bailke, Bernice M. (Marriage - 28 Oct. 1948)
Miss Bernice M. Bailke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Bailke of Colby, became the bride of Louis A. Nacker, son of Mrs. Cyrus Mohr of McMinville, Ore., last Thursday, Oct. 28, in Christ Lutheran church at Abbotsford, Rev. F. H. Sprengler reading the marriage ceremony. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Plyde Broeske.
Slipper satin formed the bridal gown which was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and tapering sleeves. Satin inserts detailed the net skirt. Her shower bouquet consisted of red roses and white carnations. Mrs. Broeske wore a blue gown and white headdress. Her shower bouquet consisted of pink and white carnations.
A reception for 65 guests was given at the church parlors. A wedding dance was held at Walter’s pavilion in the evening.
Following a week’s honeymoon in Northern Wisconsin, the couple will live in Abbotsford where the groom is employed by Harold Christensen.
Out of town relatives and friends were from McMinnville, Ore., Duluth, Minn., Eau Claire, Prentice, Medford, Stetsonville, Unity, Colby, Spencer and Abbotsford, Wisconsin.
