Wiesner, Joseph F. (12 Jan. 1887 - 27 Nov. 1943)

Joseph F. Wiesner, 56, son of the late George and Sophia Wiesner, was born on January 12, 1887, in Neillsville, and passed away after an illness of two months.

He was educated in the Neillsville grade and high school and continued his education at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, where he was graduated in 1910 with Doctor of Pharmacy degree. After graduation, he continued a pharmacy at Mellon, Wis., for two years and from there went to La Farge, Wis., where he owned a pharmacy until he went to Beloit, Wis., where he has been in the drug business for the past twenty-one years.

He was a member of the Wisconsin Pharmaceutical Association.

In 1912, Mr. Wiesner was married in Neillsville to Miss Anita M. Brule, who survives him. He leaves, besides his wife, three daughters, Miss Virginia Wiesner of Chicago, Mrs. Kenneth (Jean) Chamberlain of Beloit, and Lieut. Phyllis Wiesner, a nurse in the Air Transport Medical Branch of the U. S. Army, now stationed in Brazil, also a grandson, Joseph Chamberlain of Beloit. One brother, George of Eau Claire, and two sisters, Mrs. Ned McCarr of Southern Pines, N. C., and Mrs. Clara Winkes of Neillsville, also survive.

Funeral services were held at Beloit on Monday, November 29, with Rev. Fr. P. A. O’Reilly officiating. Burial took place at Beloit.
