ALVIN LINDAU
RICE LAKE--Alvin "Huns" Lindau, 59, Rice Lake, a former Dorchester resident, died Saturday at the Rice Lake hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rice Lake. Burial will be at Rice Lake cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Jarocki Funeral Home, Rice Lake, after 3 p.m. today.
He was born Jan. 27, 1919, in Mayville, to Albert and Amanda Lindau. He attended the Pleasant Hill Elementary School, Mayville, and graduated from Dorchester High School in 1946.
He served in the military in Korea, from 1950-52. He worked as a plumber in the Dorchester area before moving to Rice Lake to own and operate his own plumbing business. He was a musician in bands in the Dorchester and Rice Lake areas.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, three daughters; two sons; two sisters, Lucille Daellenbach and Mrs. Robert (Arletta) Goldamer, both of Abbotsford; two brothers, Eugene of Waterford and his twin brother Melvin of Neillsville; and nine grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, one sister in infancy, and one brother, Norman, in 1980.
