Moore, Ruth Alice (26 Feb. 1907 - 15 Mar. 1928)

ABBOTSFORD LADY BURIED MONDAY

Ruth Alice Moore was born Feb. 26, 1907, at Abbotsford, Wis., and died March 15, 1928, age 21 years and 18 days.

Ruth’s death came as a shock to her many friends as she was ill but three days. She was taken to Chippewa hospital last Tuesday and underwent an operation for appendicitis and the removal of a tumor Tuesday afternoon. She died Thursday night of pneumonia. The body was brought home Friday and the funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Presbyterian church, Rev. Durnam officiating.

She had attended the Abbotsford school and graduated with the class of 1926, afterward attending the St. Point Normal for part of the following year. She had been employed in our local telephone office the past winter.

She leaves to mourn, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Moore, and one sister Vivian, and a baby daughter, besides numerous other relatives. She was of a happy disposition and will be sadly missed in her home and by her many friends. Sincere sympathy is extended to her family by all.

Relatives from out of town who were here to attend the funeral of Ruth Moore were, Mrs. Murphy and daughter Hazel, of Superior, Claud Hungerford of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hungerford of Edgewater, Wis., Mrs. Frank Boucher and daughter Mabel, of Marshfield, Mrs. Ward Brown of Menomonee, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hebert of Menasha, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Abe Strebe of Milan.
