Allen, Welcome Dorothy (Marriage - 12 November 1943)
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Allen announce the marriage of their daughter, Welcome Dorothy, November 12, to Pvt. James Frederick Lahey, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Lahey, Two Rivers, Wis.
They were married at the First Evangelical and Reformed church, Sauk City. The Rev. Wilson Bixler read the service.
At six o’clock dinner was served at the Park Hotel, Madison, to relatives and friends of the bride and groom.
Pvt. Lahey graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1943, and was inducted into the service in August. He is stationed at Camp Custer, Mich. The bride is a graduate of the Neillsville High School in 1940, and attended the Mission House College. She is a senior and instructor at the University of Wisconsin.
No plans have been made to begin housekeeping until after the war.
