Miller, Phyllis (Marriage - 2 Feb. 1952)
Miss Phyllis Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Miller of Ridgeland and former Colby High School home economics teacher, and Roy E. Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Miller of Colby, Wisconsin were united in marriage Saturday, Feb. 2, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Paul’s Lutheran church at Prairie Farm, Wis., Rev. John Schaadt reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Esther Vienneau, a Colby High School teacher, was organist and Miss Donna Witte of Colby sang "Oh Perfect Love" and "The Lord’s Prayer." Mrs. Raymond Schmidt of Milwaukee, the groom’s sister, was matron of honor and the groom was attended by Werner Miller of Ridgeland, the bride’s brother.
The bride was attired in a gown of white satin, ballerina length. Her lace-edged veil of nylon illusion was held in place with a beaded tiara. Her bouquet consisted of pink roses. Mrs. Schmidt wore a mint green satin dress, ballerina length, and her bouquet consisted of yellow carnations and mums.
A wedding dinner was served at the church parlors.
After a wedding trip to California, the couple will be at home after February 13, at 3015 Restormed street, Duluth, Minn.
The groom is employed by the Wisconsin Central airlines. The bride is employed as teacher at the University of Minnesota, Duluth branch.
