Van Dreel, Donna (Marriage - 23 Feb. 1952)
Miss Donna Van Dreel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Van Dreel of Colby, and William Waldhart, Jr., of Appleton, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Waldhart of Colby were united in marriage in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby Saturday morning, Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating at the nuptial mass. Mrs. Louis Klonowski of Wisconsin Rapids and Floyd Van Dreel of Colby, a sister and brother of the bride, were the couple’s attendants.
The bride was attired in a gown fashioned of imported Chantilly lace over ivory slipper satin with a snug fitting bodice and long sleeves tapering to points over the wrists. A pointed lace collar accented the sheer nylon yoke, and the full skirt of lace extended into a long sweeping train.
She wore her sister’s veil which had an embroidered edge. It was caught to a satin cap covered with pearls and lace matching her gown. She carried a white prayer book covered with a white orchid and stephanotis, tied to white satin streamers.
Mrs. Klonowski wore a mauve satin dress with a fitted bodice, puffed sleeves, and a yoke emphasized with lace. Her hat matched her dress and she carried a nosegay of yellow roses and deep pink carnations.
Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Colby High School. The bride has been employed by the Wisconsin Telephone Co. at Eau Claire. The groom is employed by the Krambo Foods, Appleton. They will reside at 1805 W. Wisconsin Ave., Appleton.
Guests were present from Appleton, Wisconsin Rapids, Rudolph, Stratford, Edgar, Eau Claire, and Abbotsford, Wis.
