Henning, Mary C. (3 DEC 1879 - 7 DEC 1951)
Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis. - Mrs. Ernest Henning, 72, of 23 Court Street, died at her home Friday at 11:40 a.m. Death ended a three-year illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Georgas Funeral Home, where the body is lying in state, and at 2:15 o’clock at the Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Pine Valley. The Rev. Leonard Domke will officiate and burial will take place in the Neillsville Cemetery.
The former Mary Caroline boy was born in Westfield on Dec. 3, 1879. She was married there on Dec. 2, 1898, to Ernest Henning, who survives her.
They came to Christie, Clark County, in 1916 and farmed there until 1920 when they moved to the Town of Weston. They moved to Neillsville three years ago. She was a member of the Zion American Lutheran Church.
Besides her husband she is survived by three sons, Arthur, Libertyville, Ill.; Alfred, Montesono, Wash., and Herbert, on the home farm; three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Anna) Freid, Eau Claire; Mrs. John (Ella) Kollas, Eau Claire, and Mrs. Walter (Emma) Jensen, Racine; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Ella Zuelke, Montello, and Mrs. Tillie Kohnke, Westfield. One daughter and two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
