Henseler, Celia H. (28 APR 1913 - 22 JUL 1996)
Granton, Clark Co., Wis. - Celia H. Henseler, 83, of 320 Clark St., Granton, passed away on Monday, July 22, 1996, at 9:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Hospital hospice home House of the Dove in Marshfield.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Chili at 11 a.m. Father Joseph Henseler will officiate the service and Jeanette Steiner will provide the music for congregational hymns. Burial will follow the mass at St. Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Crandall, Duane Eddy, Jerry Manthe, Bill Henseler III, Scott Saunter and Dave Lavey.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Thursday one hour prior to the service at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Chili.
Celia was born on April 28, 1913, in Marshfield, to Joseph and Clara Sautner. She received her education at St. John’s Catholic School in Marshfield and Marshfield schools.
After her education, she worked a short time at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory in Marshfield. She was married to Elmer Schlafke on June 8, 1938, in Marshfield. After her marriage she was a homemaker. Mr. Schlafke passed away on Oct. 19, 1941.
Celia married William Henseler Sr. on April 21, 1949, in Marshfield. After their marriage, she was a homemaker and raised her family in Granton. Mr. Henseler passed away on March 4, 1988. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Chili and a member of the Altar Society.
Mrs. Henseler is survived by three daughters, Lois (Bob) Krohn, Kathy Henseler and Susan Henseler, all of Marshfield; two sons, Thomas Henseler and William (Sandy) Henseler Jr., all of Granton; one sister, Marie (Edgar) Wright of Marshfield; and three grandchildren, Amber and William Henseler III of Granton and Ashley Henseler of Marshfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Elmer Schlafke; second husband, William Henseler Sr., and three brothers.
