In a lawn wedding performed at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Watson of Withee, Miss Jeanette E. Watson became the bride of Horace E. Cromwell of Chicago, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Cromwell. The ceremony was performed at three o’clock Saturday afternoon by the Rev. Father R. E. Ortmayer of Owen.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length white silk organdy gown with long full sleeves and full skirt. Her flowers were a shoulder corsage of bridal wreath and pink tea roses.
Her attendant, Miss Lorraine Watson, sister of the bride, was attired in a floor length petal pink eyelet organdy and had flower the same as those of the bride.
Alfred Riemerma of Chicago acted as best man.
Luncheon was served after the ceremony to relatives and close friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Cromwell left for a short wedding trip and will be at home at 7438 Stewart Ave., Chicago, Ill., after August 1. Mr. Cromwell is employed in the office of the Inland Steel Corporation of East Chicago.
Guests from away who attended the service included Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Ritteo of Waterloo, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Riemerma, Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Cromwell Sr, and Miss Lorraine Watson of Chicago; and Mrs. Grant Anderson of Stanley.
Honored At Shower
About 50 friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Watson on Wednesday, July 9, for a pre-nuptial shower given for Miss Jeanette Watson, who was married Saturday to H. E. Cromwell of Chicago.
