Mr. Fasbender was born in Beaver Dam on August 30, 1876, and came to Colby in 1883. He married Hannah Garbrecht on March 29, 1903 at Fifield to which union five children were born who survive. Mr. and Mrs. Fasbender left Colby about the year 1924.

Surviving are his widow; five children, Mrs. Tom Fitzgibbon of Oshkosh, Mrs. V. Koeneman of Oshkosh, Mrs. Len Wilson of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. S. L. Loos of Colby and Lester Fasbender of Sacremento, Calif.; three brothers, Emil Fasbender of Colby; Alfred Fasbender of Sheridan, Wyo., and Carvan Fasbender of Spokane, Wash.

Many people in Colby will remember the deceased as a man of generous impulses who never forgot the hospitable ways of the pioneer. He had filled the various relations of life as son, husband, father, brother, friend, and filled them well. Who can do more?
