Curtiss, Wis. - Sept. 3, 1953
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Peterson returned home Sunday from a three-day stay at the State Fair.
Bernard Jakel of St. Paul spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jakel.
Mrs. E. M. Peterson returned home on Saturday from a five weeks tour to the west coast and Yellowstone.
Rev. and Mrs. O. K. Odland and family returned home on Thursday from a two weeks vacation.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tonn and children and Mrs. Anne Tonn visited on Thursday with Grandma Tonn at a home in Phillips, Wisconsin.
Mr. and Mrs. Cy Loeser of Milwaukee were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ecker the past week.
Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson and Mrs. Harry Laabs attended the funeral of Mrs. Lorentson at Woodville Thursday.
Several friends helped Mrs. Amelia Neitsch celebrate her 87th birthday anniversary Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Sorenson of Delevan visited the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Thompson.
Paul Konik is a surgical patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. He was admitted on Wednesday of last week.
Miss Alma Thompson of Milwaukee spent several days last week at the home of her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thompson.
Mrs. Gertrude Pudlas and Leslie Pong of Forreston, Ill., who were recently married, called at the Fred Pudlas home Saturday. They were enroute to their home from their honeymoon in Canada.
Mrs. Henry Dunow will be hostess to the Ladies’ Aid of St. Paul’s Lutheran church Wednesday, Sept. 9.
A daughter was born Saturday, Aug. 29, to Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Stecker of Long Island, N.Y. Mrs. Stecker is the former Jean Ackerman of Hoard.
Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Herrick were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Picky and son and Miss Audrey Crawford of Chippewa Falls. The ladies are nieces of the Herricks.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Erickson and children of Coleman visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cornel Erickson, and Mr. and Mrs. Wolfram.
A picnic supper was given on the Lee Smiley lawn Tuesday evening honoring Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Green of Buffton, Ind., and Stacy Green of Eugene, Ore., and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Middlestead and family, also of Buffton, Ind.
