THORP -- Glen E. Lewis, 37, of Thorp, formerly of Neillsville, died on Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at his home.

Glen Elliott Lewis was born on March 11, 1970, in Neillsville, the son of Darol and Margaret (Reber) Lewis. He worked at Fred Vornholt's while attending school and graduated in 1988 from Neillsville High School. Glen then worked for Drescher Oil hauling fuel, several farms in the area, North Side Elevator and for the past 13 years at Grassland Dairy.

He was united in marriage to Debra Phelps Oct. 8, 2005, in Christie.

Glen loved working with old cars and trucks, going to car shows, hanging out with his brothers, farming and fabricating.

He is survived by his wife, Debra of Thorp; a daughter, Amanda Lewis of Colby; step-children, Crystal and Stacey Phelps of Stanley; and a step-granddaughter, Chardonnay.

He is further survived by his parents, Darol and Margaret Lewis of Neillsville; two brothers, Todd (Sue) Lewis of Granton and Bradley (Bernie) Lewis of Neillsville; and a sister-in-law, Marcia Lewis of Neillsville.

He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Pam Sill, Joshua Lewis, Travis Lewis, Craig Lewis and Courtney Lewis; and great-nieces and nephews, Conner, Alexis, Makayla, Katlin and Tayler.

He was preceded in death in 2005 by his brother, David; and by his grandparents.

A memorial service will be held for Glen at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. The Rev. Douglas Bjerke will officiate. Providing music will be Eileen Zank, organist. Inurnment will be in the town of Grant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday prior to the service.

Honorary casket bearers are Greg Lucas, Joshua Lewis, Travis Lewis and Craig Lewis.

The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Glen's family with funeral arrangements.
