Ruben E. Gottschalk, 79, of Marshfield, formerly of Colby, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, in the Critical Care Unit of Saint Joseph's Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Hansen Funeral Home. Burial will be at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Green Grove. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Ruben Emil Gottschalk was born Oct. 1, 1928, in Colby, a son of William Frederick and Adel M. (Johnson) Gottschalk.

Mr. Gottschalk is survived by three sisters, Alvina Baumgart, Myrtle Gottschalk and Lucille "Dolly" (Ken) Kobs, all of Marshfield; and two brothers, Elroy (Betty) Gottschalk of Sussex and LaVern (Sue) Gottschalk of Coloma.

He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
