Victor F. Lindekugel

OSHKOSH -- Victor F. Lindekugel, 79, of Oshkosh, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh.

A funeral service for Victor will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Church Ave., Oshkosh, with the Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.

A visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St., Winneconne, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

He was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Loyal, to William and Delia (Stelson) Lindekugel. Victor served his country with the U.S. Marines Corps during the Korean War. On Aug. 21, 1954, Victor married Helen Meinen at Christ Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. He worked for more than 30 years for the Leach Co. until retirement.

For many years Victor played Santa Claus for various organizations. He enjoyed gardening and making homemade wine. Victor was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League and a long-time member of Christ Lutheran Church. Victor's wife, Helen, preceded him in death Jan. 24, 2006.

Victor is survived by one daughter, Vicki Cook of Oshkosh; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kelly Lindekugel of Oshkosh; six grandchildren, April (Scott) Paulson, Crystal, Keith and Kimberly Cook, Jason and Ryan Lindekugel; one great-grandchild, Cory Paulson; and nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and wife, Victor was also preceded in death by an infant son, Clinton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Elsie Lindekugel, Robert and Esther Lindekugel; and one sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Art Dahl.

Victor's family would like to thank Dr. Phillips and Dr. Smith from Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield for all of the care given to him over the years.
