Racine - Jessie Wilma (nee: Matteson) Ewing, 84, died Saturday, January 19, 2008, at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care.
Jessie was born on April 10, 1923 , to (John) Earl and Helen (nee: Warren) Matteson in Neillsville. She lived and worked in Milwaukee until her marriage to Donald W. Ewing in 1948. She was born again on October 23, 1940.
She graduated from Sparta High School.
She is survived by a son, Dale (Teresa) of El Paso Texas; two daughters, Mary Webber of Milwuakee and Jean (Bernie) Zenner of Dubuque, Iowa; five grandchildren, David, LaShawn, Jocelyn, Jonathan, and Sarah; 14 great--grandchildren, Eli, Candice, Hope, Julia, Sebastian, Hunter, Kayley, Zachary, Jeremiah, Christina, Katelynn, Julianna, Cole, and Quentin; two sisters, Cecelia (Gene) Moring of Florida and Carol Zoeller of New Mexico; a cousin, Loreina Warren; many nieces and nephews, dear friends, and fellow Christians. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Frances (Ray) Larsen and Irene (George) Fleissner; three brothers, Donald (Helen), Mark (Evonne), and Glenn; and one great-grandson, Austin Schabel.
A Funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 26, 2008, at 2 p.m. at World of Faith Family Church, 1734 Washington Avenue. Private burial will be on Monday, Januar 28, 2008, at Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
