Wolf, Marie M. (Marriage - 12 Sept. 1953)
Miss Marie M. Wolf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Wolf of Colby, Wis., was given in marriage by her father at a double-ring ceremony Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock to Kenneth A. Peterson of Tomah, Rev. Frank Brickl officiating at the marriage rites in St. Mary’s Catholic church.
The bridal gown had an imported rosepoint lace bodice with Elizabethan collar and the long sleeves tapering to points over the wrists. The waltz-length skirt was made of nylon tulle with rosepoint gores over net and taffeta.
The pearlized orange blossom headpiece held the fingertip veil of illusion edged with Chantilly lace. Roses and chrysanthemums formed the bridal bouquet.
Miss Celia A. Wolf of Colby was her sister’s maid of honor and was attired in a shrimp-colored gown, the lace bodice having a mandarin collar and cap sleeves. Tulle and net formed the skirt and gauntlets completed the ensemble. She carried a colonial bouquet of white mums and yellow roses with silver ribbon loops and centered with a rhubrum lily. The bridesmaid, Miss Betty Lou Peterson, a sister of the groom, carried a similar bouquet. She wore a teal-colored gown with mandarin collar and cap sleeves on the lace bodice. The skirt with tulle over net and taffeta. She also wore gauntlets.
Vern J. Wolf of Burlington, a brother of the bride, was the best man and Lyle Crigs of Tomah was groomsman. Norbert J. Wolf, another brother of the bride, ushered.
Mrs. Wolf wore a grey crepe dress for her daughter’s wedding, the dress having grey accessories. Pink carnations and yellow mums formed her corsage. Mrs. Peterson had a corsage of red roses and white carnations attached to the shoulder of her navy dress.
After a honeymoon in Northern Wisconsin, the newlyweds will be at home in Tomah. Mrs. Peterson is a graduate of Colby High School and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Marshfield. She is a staff nurse at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tomah. Her husband’s mother, Mrs. Frank Peterson, also lives in Tomah. Kenneth is a graduate of Tomah High School.
Out of town guests were from Tomah, Marshfield and Burlington.
