Thiel, Shirley Jean (Marriage - 16 Sept. 1953)
Miss Shirley Jean Thiel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Thiel of Laramie, Wyo., formerly of Colby, Wis., and Wayne Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Cook of Luck, Wis., were united in marriage at a candle-light ceremony at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ruppert of Abbotsford Wednesday evening, Sept. 16, at 7:00 o’clock, Rev. F. H. Sprengler reading the marriage ceremony. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Ruppert.
A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ruppert. The couple left on a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin and will be at home to friends at Laramie, Wyo.
The bride is a graduate of Laramie High School and is employed at Laramie as a telephone operator. The groom attended the University of Wyoming and is employed at the Chevrolet garage in Laramie.
