Tesmer, Marie (26 May 1887 - 27 Feb. 1953)

Mrs. William A. Tesmer died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Friday evening, Feb. 27. Funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran church Tuesday afternoon, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Wesley Frome, Carl Borchert, Louis Borchert, Albert Hertz, Ed Frome and William Waldhart.

Mrs. Tesmer was born in Colby, Wisconsin on May 26th, 1887, thus reaching the age of 65 years, 11 months and one day. For 14 years she lived in California. However, when her mother became an invalid, she dutifully returned home to care for her. She was united in marriage with William A. Tesmer on August 21st, 1934, at Rockford, Ill.

She leaves to mourn her untimely demise, her loving husband, one nephew and two nieces.

She has always taken her religion and church membership seriously and lived as a respected citizen and fellow member of Zion Lutheran church. For many years she served the congregation as an officer of the Ladies’ Aid Society. After a somewhat burdensome illness, she entered the hospital for surgery. According to human sight, all was going well and indications were such that she would soon be home. However, complications set in and her end came suddenly and quickly.
