Hoppen, William Philip (14 Dec. 1879 - 18 Apr. 1953)

William Philip Hoppen, a native of Colby, Wisconsin, died Saturday, April 18, in a hospital in Santa Cruz, Calif., where he resided the past four years at the age of 73 years.

Born in Colby, Wis., Hoppen moved to Chicago, Illionios, in 1910 where he was a passenger baggageman on the Soo Line. He retired in December, 1944, and moved to Santa Cruz, Calif., five years later. He was a member of Fair Oaks Lodge No. 1006, F. & A. M. at Oak, Ill.

Hoppen is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Lial Twries and Mrs. Gladys Sacco of Chicago; a son, Claude W. Hoppen of Aptos, Calif.
