Schulz, Emory Frank (10 Feb. 1902 - 7 Aug. 1953)

Funeral services for Emory Frank Schulz, who died at his home in Rock Island, Ill., on Friday, August 7, at 7:30 A.M., were held at the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity Monday afternoon, Rev. C. Vander Stoep officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Masonic services were held at the grave, S. L. Loos officiating. The deceased was a member of Lee Ville Lodge, La., No. 240. Pall bearers were Oscar Carlson, G. W. Carlson, Ed Melander, Harold Neitzel, Glen Shupe and Merlin Schjoneman.

Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Edward Melander, Mrs. Harold Hederer, Mrs. Oscar Carlson, Mrs. Harold Yost, Mrs. Ben Bernett, Mrs. Anton Schjoneman, Mrs. Otto Schultz, Mrs. Ray Parrett, Mrs. Louis Hartl and Mrs. Vilas Luepke.

Mr. Schulz was born in Wisconsin Rapids on February 10, 1902, thus reaching the age of 51 years, five months and 28 days. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He was united in marriage to Pearl M. Burnett of Unity on June 26, 1937.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, James Emory and Ray Erwin; his mother, Mrs. Anna Schulz; three sisters, Mrs. Elydia Garvalia and Mrs. Vera Garvalia of Genoa and Mrs. Doris Harswill of Milwaukee; two brothers, Carl of Reedsburg and Franklin of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
