UNITY SCHOOL PICKS COUNCIL
Unity--The students elected to the student council in the high school last week were: seniors, Arla Gauger, and Wayne Johnson; juniors, Marilyn Nelson and Levi Mews; sophomores, Diane Williams and Wallace A. Carlson; and freshmen, Shirley Johnson and Gerald Glenzer.
The high school softball team is in first place in a four-team league which is comprised of Rib Lake, Dorchester, Colby and Unity, Wis.
Thus far they have three wins and two ties, and one loss. The loss was to Colby, the two ties with Rib Lake. The ties will be played off at a later date.
A craft club has been organized at the high school, with 28 members. It is under the supervision of Prin. Lawrence Millard. Officers eklected were Ray Cook, president; Donald Neuman, vice-president; Arla Gauger, secretary; and Andrea Jost, treasurer. Each student will chose the craft in which he is most interested.
The seniors have chosen as their class play a three-act comedy, "Granddad Steps Out," and plan to present it Oct. 26. Rehearsals have begun.
