Foley, Rose M. (3 APR 1878 - 14 FEB 1941)
Miss Rose Marie Foley, 62, passed away at her home in the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.) Friday, Feb. 14, 1941. Her health had been failing since last August when she underwent an operation for appendicitis and left the hospital on Nov. 24th.
Miss Foley was born at Gravesville, Calumet Co., Wis., on April 3, 1878, and came to Clark County with her parents in 1886, settling on the farm in the town of Worden which has since been her home.
She was a great lover of nature and, since the death of her parents continued working on the farm with her sister, Katherine, who is the only near relatives surviving. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn, four nephews, Ed and Amos Maltby of Antigo, Louis Maltby, Milwaukee, and James Maltby of Duluth; three nieces, Mrs. Myrtle Bean of Duluth, Mrs. Mabel Lingle of Antigo and Evelyn Thorp of Chippewa Falls.
The Rev. Arnold M. Muckerheide conducted funeral services for the deceased at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church here on Monday morning and interment was made in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Anton Baldeschwiler, Jos. Gengler, Fred Driessen, Henry Baures, Matt Miller and Louis Henke.
