Sandberg, Patricia (Marriage - 20 Feb. 1954)
Miss Patricia Sandberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Sandberg of Fertile, Minn., and Merlin Schumann of McIntosh, Minn., son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schumann of Colby, Wisconsin were united in marriage Saturday, Feb. 20, at 8:00 P.M. in Concordia Lutheran church in Fertile, Minn., in a double ring ceremony, Rev. G. W. Talo officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Mrs. Dan Downs, a sister of the bride, was matron of honor and Mrs. Glen Bacon, a sister of the groom, and Miss Ostgarden, a friend, were bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Arnold Schumann, a brother, as best man, and Glen Bacon, a brother-in-law of the groom, and Norman Moser. Nancy Schumann, a niece of the groom, served as flower girl and Billy Erickson, a nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
The bride was attired in a white ballerina length net over satin with a lace top and mandarin collar. For jewelry she wore a rhinestone necklace, a gift from the groom. Her attendants wore gowns of net over taffeta, ballerina length, in pink, aqua and yellow, respectively. Their colonial bouquets consisted of carnations. The bride’s traveling attire consisted of a blue suit with red and white accessories with a corsage of roses and orange blossoms.
A reception was given by the bride’s parents in the church parlors.
The couple will make their home in McIntosh, Minn., where the groom is employed by the Zontelli Construction Company.
