Griesback, Eunice (Marriage - 5 May 1954)

Miss Eunice Griesback, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alois Griesback of Stratford, Route 3, and Ambrose Sterzinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sterzinger of Colby, Wisconsin were united in marriage last week Wednesday morning in St. Andrew’s Catholic church at Rozellville, Wisconsin, Rev. Joseph Eisenmann reading the nuptial rites.

Lace covered buttons closed the back of the bodice of the bridal gown which was accented with a cape-effect of Chantilly lace. Fitted tulle sleeves formed points over the hands and lace was repeated in the deep scalloped peplum of the full-length skirt which extended into a cathedral train. Seed pearls and rhinestones studded the tiara which held the finger-tip veil of nylon tulle. A white satin bow tied the cascade bouquet of orchids and stephanotis carried by the bride.

Each bridal attendant wore a full-length gown of net over taffeta with strapless fitted lace bodice and matching jacket. Lace formed the pointed peplum of the skirt. Half hats of net leaves centered with rhinestones completed their attire.

Nylon net in a color to match the gown outlined the heart-shaped bouquet of each bridal attendant. Yellow sweetheart roses centered the cluster of hyacinth flowers and were repeated on the streamers which interspersed the bouquet.

Robert Sterzinger of Colby was best man for his brother and groomsmen were Michael Seidl, of Marshfield, brother-in-law of the bride, and Edward Stockheimer of Stratford, a friend of the couple. Ushering duties were in charge of William Sterzinger of Colby, another brother of the groom, and Victor Folz of Stratford, cousin of the bride.

Miss Marie Link of Marshfield was maid of honor and wore a gown of yellow. Mrs. Michael Seidl in an orchid gown was bridesmaid for her sister. The other bridesmaid was Mrs. Edward Stockheimer of Stratford, who wore a Nile green gown.

A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents and luncheon, supper and a reception were held at the Paris Avenue in Rozellville.

The groom, a graduate of Colby High School, is employed by the Streckert Lumber Company in Abbotsford and the bride, a graduate of the Marshfield Senior High School, is employed at the Wing Drug in Marshfield. They will reside in Colby, Wis.

Out-of-town guests were from Appleton, Menasha, Milwaukee, Manitowoc, Cazenovia, Marshfield, Colby, Stratford, Fond du Lac, Byron, Dorchester, Edgar and Evanston, Ill.
