Williams, Diane #2 (Marriage - 26 June 1954)
Miss Diane Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Williams of Unity and Walter Raczykowski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Raczykowski of Unity, were united in marriage Saturday, June 26, 1954, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Evangelical and Reformed church in Colby, Wisconsin, Rev. V. O. Grosshuesch reading the marriage ceremony. Dorraine Allar of Unity, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor and bridesmaids were Lenora Williams of Loyal, sister in law of the bride and Emilie Loos of Colby, cousin of the bride. The groom was attended by Eugene Allar of Unity as best man and Leslie Williams of Loyal and Bernard Raczykowski of Unity, Wis. Judy Allar of Unity, niece of the bride, and Barbara Hilber of Colby served as flower bearers.
The bride was attired in a floor length lace over satin gown with long lace sleeves coming to points at the wrist, fitted bodice, panels of pleated tulle down the front of the skirt, chapel length train, fingertip veil of net and lace, crown trimmed with seed pearls and rhinestones. Her bouquet consisted of red roses with white gladiolus. Her attendants wore gowns of net over taffeta in green, orchid and yellow, respectively. The matron of honor’s bouquet consisted of white and green carnations and the bouquets of the bridesmaids consisted of white, yellow and orchid carnations.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Guests were here from St. Paul, Minn., Colorado Springs, Colo., Unity, Colby, Spencer, Loyal.
The couple left on a wedding trip out west. The groom is employed by the Lewis Container Co.
