JOHN P. BERRY

John P. Berry, an old time resident of Dorchester, died at Chicago Monday, Jan. 12, 1931, at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 14 days. Funeral services were held from the Little White Church at Dorchester, Wis., Rev. P. F. Walter officiating. Interment took place in the Dorchester cemetery, Andrew and E. M. Sorenson, George Koehn, Ray Hugaboom, J. H. Johnson and N. H. Laveen acting as pallbearers.

Mr. Berry was born in Norway and came to this community when 21 years of age, residing in Dorchester until a year ago when he moved to Chicago to live with his daughters.

He leaves to mourn his loss four children, William of Abbotsford, Edward of Santiago, Calif. and Anna Nelson and Luella Callahan of Chicago, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Those who attended the funeral from Abbotsford were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Berry and family, Mrs. Hanson and daughter Jessie, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Laveen, Harry Emling, Mr. and Mrs. George Barker, Mrs. Hans Amacher and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jackson and daughter Frances.
