Rucks, Elizabeth (1 June 1878 - 30 Apr. 1954)

Mrs. Paul Rucks died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Friday, April 30th, at the age of 75 years, a heart ailment being the cause of her death. She had been ill for several years and was at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital several times for treatment.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at Zion Lutheran church, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Herbert Hederer, Ralph Rucks, Edward Kowalk, Richard Cutts, Leonard Cutts and Kenneth Cutts. Flowers were in charge of Barbara Hederer and Audrey Jacobi.

Elizabeth Schneider was born in Dodge county on June 1, 1878. She married Paul Rucks in Lomira on February 18, 1896. They came to this community 38 years ago.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hederer and Mrs. Gladys Kowalk of Colby, and one son, Edward Rucks of Curtiss. Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Mrs. Rucks was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran church and also faithful to her duties, being more anxious to care for the needs of her family than any interest on social affairs although she had many friends because of her kindly disposition.
