Kaleta, Edmund (1932? - 2 SEP 1941)
Edmund, the nine year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Kaleta of the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.) died at the Stanley Hospital Tuesday evening from a skull fracture received when the autos of Mr. Kaleta and Pat Potter of Owen, collided in the intersection on Highway 29 three miles east of Thorp about eight o’clock Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Kaleta was severely injured, sustaining multiple lacerations about the head, a fractured wrist and other bruises. She remained at the hospital for treatment. Mr. Kaleta and one other son, ten years of age, received minor bruises.
Mr. and Mrs. Pat Potter of Owen, were coming from the west when they struck the Kaleta auto crossing the pavement from the north. Edmund Kaleta and his mother were thrown from the car, the former being picked up about seventy-five feet east of the intersection.
Mr. Potter was injured also, her head striking the windshield.
Dr. Malin gave first aid to the injured who were rushed to the Stanley Hospital.
