Schoelzel, Audries Ann (Marriage - Jan. 1955)

Audries Ann Schoelzel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Schoelzel of Colby, and Verlyn D. Wolfe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Wolfe of Loyal, were united in marriage in the First Evangelical and Reformed church in Colby, Wis., Rev. Victor Grosshuesch officiating at the 4:00 o’clock candlelight service. Miss Patsy Schoelzel of Colby and Marvin Schoelzel of Unity sang "The Lord is My Shepherd" and "Savior, Like a Shepherd, Lead Us."

The bride was attired in a navy blue princess style dress with white accessories and her shoulder corsage consisted of red roses and white stephanotis.

Mrs. John Sheets of Abbotsford, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor and Mrs. Edward Dominie of Milwaukee, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. Both wore dresses of navy blue with white accessories and their shoulder corsages consisted of white carnations and pink rose buds.

The bride’s mother wore an aqua blue dress and the groom’s mother wore a navy blue dress. Both also wore corsages of white and pink carnations.

The groom was attended by John Sheets, brother-in-law of the bride, and Edward Dominie, brother-in-law of the groom.

A reception for 30 guests was held at the home of the bride’s parents and a wedding dance was held at the Riplinger Hall. Guests were from Milwaukee, Loyal, Stevens Point, Mosinee, Abbotsford, Greenwood and Colby, Wis.

The bride is a graduate of Colby High School and the groom attended Loyal High School. They will make their home in a house north of Loyal. The groom is employed at the Pine Grove Cheese Factory.
