Verkuilen, Beatrice (1908 - 5 SEP 1941)

Mrs. Beatrice Dalton Verkuilen, 33, died at Mercy Hospital at Gary, Indiana, Sept. 5th, 1941. Death was caused by a relapse five days after giving birth to triplets.

Mrs. Verkuilen was born in 1908 and received her training at the Whitewater, Wis., State Teachers College. She was the wife of Michael Verkuilen, president of the Gary Teachers Union and a former Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) man.

With Mrs. Verkuilen, in a separate casket, was buried the second of her triplets, a boy, who died Saturday, Sept. 6th. The infant girl lived only a few hours. The surviving child, a boy, was reported to be in good condition and is expected to live.

Funeral services were held in Holy Angels Church, Gary, Indiana, at 9 a.m., Monday, Sept. 8th, followed by burial in Calvary Park Cemetery.
