Wrzos, Henry (1906? - 7 OCT 1941)
Henry Wrzos, 35, of the town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 3:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1941, of injuries received last Wednesday evening when the motorcycle which he was driving crashed into the auto of John Kudingo on Highway 29, one mile east of Thorp. The accident occurred about twelve o’clock in the evening. Mr. Wrzos attempted to pass the car when they started to turn in at the Kit Kat Tavern. Joe Piwoni and Felix Czubakowski were also passengers in the Kudingo car, and received but minor bruises.
Mr. Wrzos was taken to the hospital in Stanley immediately after the accident. Gangrene set in and he was later removed to the Sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire where he died.
He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Wrzos of the town of Withee, two sisters, Mrs. Tom Gunia of Thorp, and Mrs. John Kaczmarcik of Chicago, and one brother, John of Thorp.
Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church at ten o’clock Wednesday morning, Father F.A. Kulig officiating, and interment taking place in the parish cemetery.
