Albert Franz returned from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Steinwand returned from a trip to Colorado.
Mrs. Adeline Imhoff left for Ohio last Thursday where she will spend the winter.
Jerry Firnstahl of Chicago, Ill., spent the past week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. M. Firnstahl.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyer are visiting relatives in Chicago, Ill., and other points in Southern Wisconsin and Illinois.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Kramer of North Dakota visited several days in Colby with Mrs. Pauline Tessmer and other friends.
Mrs. Bord of Spencer and Mrs. Gusta Wiebel of Minneapolis, Minn., were recent callers at the home of Mrs. Pauline Tessmer.
Mrs. Pauline Zillmann left for Marinette Saturday for a visit with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lein, and family.
Mr. and Mrs. John Zahorka, Miss Irene Zahorka and their guest, Miss Alwilda Watkins, spent a few days last week visiting friends in South Dakota and Minnesota.
Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Graves of Ladysmith and Mr. and Mrs. George Schwantes of Spencer were recent guests at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Tesmer and Mrs. Fred Rienow.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Neck spent the past week in Montello where they attended funeral services for the former’s mother, Mrs. Gertrude Neck. Mrs. Neck died unexpectedly of a stroke.
Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Lewis and two children, Lynne, age 14, and Allan, age 5, have moved to Colby from Marshfield and are residing in the former E. W. Lewis residence in Ward 1.
Mr. and Mrs. William Roth of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Danielson and son, Steven, of Abbotsford returned to their homes from a visit with relatives in Chicago and the former’s daughter, Sandra, who is a student at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Lulloff, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Baumgart, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baumgart, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Baumgart and Mrs. Minnie Baumgart made a trip to Fifield where they attended the golden wedding anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baumgart. Charles Baumgart is a brother of Mrs. Lulloff and Otto Baumgart.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Klinkhammer and David, Paul, Judy and Vicky Gierl of Owatonna, Minn., and Miss Pat Gierl of La Crosse visited several days at the Gierl Brothers farm at Colby, Wis. Enroute to Colby, they picked up Miss Emily Klinkhammer at Marshfield who stayed with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. David Lindberg, at Abbotsford, Wis.
The following ladies of Zion Lutheran church attended the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League at Greenwood last Thursday: Mrs. Edna Dins, Mrs. C. Mossing, Mrs. Wm. Ebert, Mrs. Oscar Dix, Mrs. R. H. Markus, Mrs. Hugo Frome, Mrs. George Tesmer, Mrs. Ed. Stock, Mrs. Julius Gentz, Mrs. Walter Fink, Mrs. R. Hintz, Mrs. J. E. Tesmer, Mrs. P. Rex, Mrs. A. Bruss, Mrs. F. Bruesewitz, Mrs. E.
