Colby, Wis. - Local News Dec. 1, 1955

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Del Neitzel at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital November 20th.

Mrs. Frank Jackson spent the week-end at Ashland with her sister, Mrs. Frank Jackson.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pech and family of Madison spent the Thanksgiving Day week-end with Mrs. Pech’s mother, Mrs. Roman Stieber.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Witte of Colby at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital November 26.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Sterzinger are visiting their son and daughter-in-law, Maj. And Mrs. Morris Sterzinger, and family in Louisville, Ky.

Mrs. G. Nystrom spent from Friday until Tuesday in Oak Park and Chicago visiting her daughter and family and buying dresses for the Emilie’s Dress Shop.

Mrs. Louise Dins, Edgar Laux and Louis Gosse of Colby and Mrs. Henry Lake autoed to Kiel, Friday where they attended the funeral of an uncle, returning Saturday.

Thanksgiving Day guests at the George Kowalk home were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Quist, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kowalk, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Baumgart of Owen, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Baumgart of Marshfield and Betty Kowalk of Eau Claire.

Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Zavala and children of Chicago were holiday visitors at the home of Mrs. Zavala’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Krause, at Colby and her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Rifleman, at Edgar.

Mrs. Laura Frane is spending several months with her son-in-law and daughter, Sgt. and Mrs. William Rodas, and family in Lebanon, Mo., and her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. L. K. Hildebrand, and family in Muskegon, Mich.

Jesse E. Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif., spent Thanksgiving Day with his aunt, Miss Harriet Johnson. Mr. Johnson is connected with the Atomic Energy Commission, and while stationed in Milwaukee, Wis., took advantage of the Thanksgiving holiday to visit his aunt.

Mrs. Ed Zillmann returned to her home Wednesday after spending Thanksgiving Day and the week-end at Baldwin with *** Note: The remainder of this article was missing.
