Warner, Matilda (26 NOV 1852 - 8 MAR 1942)

Mrs. Matilda Warner passed away of old age infirmities at the Wis. Veterans Home on Sunday, March 8, 1942. She had reached the age of 89 years, 3 months and 12 days.

Melissa Wright was born in New York on Nov. 26, 1852. She came to Jump River, Wis. with her husband, Timothy Warner, in the year 1894, where she lived for many years.

She is survived by three sons, Charles Sylvanus and David Warner, all of Jump River; four daughters, Mary Ann Roderick of LaPorte, Minn., Fannie Shilts of Jump River, Wis., Laura Ritter of White Fish, Mont., and Edna Rebecka Meyer of Fall Creek, Wis., 25 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

The body was brought to the Bogumill Funeral Home at Thorp where funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Fisher of Hannibal at two o’clock today (Thursday). The remains will be interred in the Eidsvold Cemetery, with Veterans of the Hugh Warner Post of Taylor Co. serving as pallbearers.
