Fitzl, Anton (5 NOV 1881 - 15 MAR 1942)

Anton Fitz, 61, died on March 15, 1942 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls after a lingering illness.

He was born in Mason City, Ia., on Nov. 5, 1881. He came to Wisconsin in 1912 and settled at Donald. In 1915 he was married to Fern Bruyette and they moved to Stanley where they resided until 1929, when they moved to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

Surviving are four sons, John, George and Robert of Thorp, and Carl of Dundee, Ill., and one daughter, Irene (Mrs. Robert Johnson) of Dundee, Ill., also two sisters, Annie (Mrs. Robert Behm) and Mrs. Barbara Hanson of Mason City, Iowa, and two brothers, Joseph of Sheldon, Wis., and Jacob of California.

Funeral services were held on March 18th from the St. Mary’s Church at Stanley, Wis., with Rev. Father Wallace officiating.
